FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions 💙
✨ What makes Blule prints special?
All my art prints start life as original watercolour paintings, created in my sunny Sydney studio. They're then professionally printed in Australia on premium fine art paper (Hahnemühle Torchon, 285gsm) with archival inks — so the colours stay vibrant for years (no fading dragons here 🐉✨).
Each piece is signed (and numbered if it's a limited edition) and personally checked by me before I pack it.
🎨 Do you do custom sizes or commissions?
Yes! I accept a limited number of custom watercolour commissions every year — from portraits to dragons to surfer girls. You can learn more here or email me at bonjour@blule.fr.
If you love an existing artwork but need a different size, just ask — I'll see what's possible.
🖼️ What are A2 and A3 sizes?
My prints follow standard paper sizes, so it's easy to find frames in any shop near you.
- A2: 42 × 59.4 cm (16.5 × 23.4 inches)
- A3: 29.7 × 42 cm (11.7 × 16.5 inches)
Each print includes a 0.5 to 1 cm white margin all around, perfect for a matboard or a clean frame.
🖼️ How do I frame my print?
I print on standard A2 and A3 sizes specifically to make framing easy and affordable for you!
Budget-friendly option: IKEA's 40 × 50 cm frames fit A3 prints perfectly with a mount included. They look professional and won't break the bank.
Online framing: Many online framers let you enter your exact measurements (29.7 × 42 cm for A3, 42 × 59.4 cm for A2), choose your frame style and matting, and they'll ship it to you ready to hang.
Local framer (my favorite!): For the best quality and a truly custom look, visit your local frame shop. They can help you choose the perfect frame, mat color, and UV-protective glass to make your dragon shine. Plus, you're supporting a local business! Bring your print with you so they can match the white of the paper perfectly.
Pro tip: Use a 2-3 inch white or cream mat around your artwork — it gives your dragon breathing room and makes the colors pop! 🎨
🎁 Can I order a gift and send it directly?
Absolutely! I can ship directly to your lucky recipient and even include a personal handwritten note from you (on a card I choose that matches the art). Just leave your note in the checkout comments.
🌈 Will the colours look exactly like what I see online?
I do my best to ensure the photos match the artwork's colours. Please note: screens vary in brightness and colour calibration. In person, the art usually looks even richer and more beautiful than on screen!
🖋 Can I get one of your artworks as a tattoo?
I'm very honoured when people want my work on their skin! Soon you'll be able to purchase a Tattoo Permission Form. You'll receive a signed PDF that you can take to your tattoo artist.
💌 Can you include a handwritten note?
Yes! I love adding a personal touch. I can handwrite your message on a card of my choice — perfect for gifts, surprises, or little love notes.
🎟 Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes! Pick any amount for your voucher and you'll receive a code via email. You can also choose one of my printable card designs for gifting.
📦 Printing Process & Dispatch
All the art is professionally printed in Australia.
- A3 & A2 prints: Printed in my studio, ready to ship in 2-4 working days
- Prints larger than A2: Printed by a professional fine art printer, ready in 7-10 working days
💛 Care & Handling
Prints are shipped flat in a solid flatpack or rolled in a protective tube, depending on the size, for safe travel.
They are delicate, so please handle with care and ideally let a professional framer do the unrolling and framing. This prevents fingerprints and keeps your dragon looking pristine!
To keep your print vibrant:
- Keep away from direct sunlight (UV rays fade watercolours)
- Avoid humid areas like bathrooms or kitchens
- Use UV-protective glass when framing
- Dust the frame gently with a soft cloth
🚚 Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on size, weight, and destination. I ship worldwide from Sydney, Australia.

- International: Sent via Australia Post International with tracking, usually arrives in 7-14 working days from dispatch (may take longer during peak times)
📍 Important: Please Check Your Address!
A confirmation email with your tracking number will be sent as soon as your artwork is on its way.
Please make sure your shipping address is entered correctly when you order. You'll receive a confirmation email — double-check it! I cannot ship to PO Boxes.
You're responsible for providing the correct address and tracking your shipment. If your parcel isn't collected from the post office and gets returned to me, I'll be happy to resend it — but new shipping costs will apply.

📬 What if my artwork isn't collected and gets sent back?
Sometimes parcels aren't collected from the post office within their holding time and they make the long trip back to me in Sydney.
If this happens, don't worry — I can resend it! However, new shipping costs will apply, as the postal services don't refund the original shipment.
To avoid delays, please keep an eye on your tracking number and pick up your order promptly. 📦
💔 Damaged Items
If your art arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all:
- Take photos of the packaging and the artwork (if damaged)
- Email me at bonjour@blule.fr with your order number and photos
- I'll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible
I want you to love your dragon! If something goes wrong, I'll make it right. 💙
📮 Customs & Import Duties
I am required by law to declare the full value of the shipment on customs forms.
Any local customs duties, taxes, or import fees are the buyer's responsibility. These vary by country, so if you're unsure, please check with your local customs office before ordering.
